The answer is simple: to make my content accessible for a higher audience. Most of my compatriots are English-speakers, but I think it is more comfortable for them to read the articles in their native language: Romanian. I think that it is also a great opportunity for people who don't speak one of these two languages too well to learn it if they want.
1) A short introduction to Romanian and why you should learn it.
Romanian is the official language of Romania, an Eastern-European country (the little red point on the map) :)
The truth is, there are no very good reasons to learn this language. It is not officially spoken in a lot of countries like French or German or Spanish, so it isn't necessarily useful, but it can be very fun to learn and it will force your brain to understand a language very different than your own (but when you'll start learning it, you'll be surprised of their similarities). A thing that is different from English is that with Romanian, you will, for example, communicate more specific because of the grammar. Every verb will be conjugated at different tenses for every person (first, second, third masculine, third feminine) for singulars and plurals. Another thing that is different from English (with 4 exceptions) we speak as we write and we write as we speak. It might be a interesting exercise for you.
2) Advantages of being bilingual
+the funny moments when you won't find your words in your native language, but in one of those you're fluent in.
